old friend, family and fitting it all in

spent some time this afternoon with an old friend..... we haven't hung out in ages, and he was feeling pretty down, but was good to be there for him and bring a smile back to his face

all the family have started arriving for my sisters wedding.... it's going to be chaos over the next few days, but good, fun, crazy french family kind of chaos

lots to do, lots of commitments and not an awful lot of time..... felt pretty happy today with my juggling skills

good words, a long lost friend and a great view

today I said something that really needed to say to someone who has been acting pretty out of line..... felt good to have dealt with it and actually got a pretty good response.... sometimes its tough being tough but you just gotta do it

wow, I have an amazing friend Jade who I love to pieces..... she lives in the depths of the Northlands NZ and so has been impossible to get hold of.... finally today, I managed to get her mobile number and we are back in contact again ....happy happy happy

walking up the stairs this morning to the office and realised how cool our view is now.....

a good meeting, sushi lunch and a corridor of trees

what a good start to the week.... back to back meetings that all yielded great results.... happy bunny

made the most of being in town at lunchtime and treated myself to a sushi lunch

driving home from work I took a moment to appreciate the beautiful green of the trees on the side of the road..... there is a stretch where it feels like you're almost covered over with trees...gorgeous

hammock time, work done and mexican for dinner

ahhhhh some time spent in the hammock today was much appreciated

a lot of work done today, but in that nice, relaxed, weekendy kind of way

Ali, Simon and Fabe came round for a yummy mexican on the deck...... mmmmm pulled pork burritos.....with homemade salsa and guacamole......yum yum yum

chores done, paddle and pizza

after a super early solo paddle, I missioned into town to get all my chores done..... lots of running around but all done by lunchtime so all good :)

Alex, Paul and I went for a paddle around St Brelade's this evening, which was easy and lovely one way (with the wind behind us) and actually pretty tough and pretty funny on the way back...

which meant we felt like we totally deserved a pizza feast ..... we got take out from Pizza Express and cruised back to mine to eat, drink and relax

early start, moving upwards and wind down

another really early start was made better when I paused on the deck before jumping in my car to go to work..... what a gorgeous morning

we moved upstairs today..... not too far to go but so much nicer and lighter

Friday afternoons are starting to take on a similar pattern...... everyone finishes at lunchtime, so after a couple of hours of quiet time at work, I head home, knowing that there is work to do over the weekend, but allowing myself an afternoon of switching off, replenishing and nuturing

flat day fun, warm car and a realisation

work is just getting busier and busier now so we took a couple of hours out of our day to go for a SUP with the team..... just getting out of the office and into the sea and sunshine....

I love hopping into a car that is all warm and cosy from the sun streaming in..... the weather changed this evening and my car was a welcome surprise

this week has taught me a lot.... but most importantly, it has taught me about living life to the fullest, enjoying very single moment and surrounding yourself with the people you love
