super early paddle, thank goodness for the sea and dinner for Dad

my body is still somewhat running on adrenaline, so even though my head tells me to go back to sleep when I wake this morning, my legs swing out of bed and I'm driving to the beach before I can argue with myself. A super early paddle that was very worthwhile

thank goodness for the sea.... its beauty, its ability to instill zen and peace, its familiarity..... feels like home

Dad was flying today, and after all the support, love and care I get from him it felt nice to be the one fixing him dinner and showing my appreciation

thank goodness it's Friday, cooking and house back to normal

wow, never before have I been so grateful for a Friday...thank goodness for the upcoming weekend...

at home, cooking dinner, made me realise how much I've missed the simple everyday stuff

wow, the house is clean, tidy and free of all festival-ness.... that feels great

nice to be nice, back in the sea and a lovely date

it's nice to be nice, and help out where you can...... sometimes you don't realise that your life experiences can genuinely help someone else

up early, and although my body was saying no, my head said 'get back in the ocean' so I did. And it was awesome.....crystal clear, no wind, super warm.... nothing better

we planned to cook dinner tonight but by 7pm we were exhausted and so headed out for a lovely dinner date...... mmmm the Harbour View... super delicious meal and so good to be back together again

some sort of normality, moving back in and see you later

felt good today to be waking up and starting a day normally again..... excited that normality is creeping back in

we moved back into the office today.... all feeling a bit scattered and totally shattered but definitely feels good to have a base again

goodbyes today were actually more like see you soons..... which is always good :)

birds tweeting, catching up and pizza on site

site is almost clear, and at one point today I just stood still and heard the birds tweeting away in the sunshine

bit by bit, night by night we are catching up on sleep :)

a much mellower evening tonight, not the whole crew, but a few of us after a long day, with a tonne of pizzas

it's not over, phone on silent and the beach

feels kinda wierd, but pretty stoked that we have another festival around the corner. Normally post event, there is a feeling of anti-climax and I find myself a bit lost. But now, there is something to focus on, re-group and go again !

I probably shouldn't have, but I put my phone on silent for the whole day today..... it was amazing

we met at the beach, and Jess & I sat and chatted, laughed and drank cider..... just relaxed before dinner and enjoyed the simplicity of watching the world go by

slow down, kind words and escape into bed

wow it's Sunday.... still a lot to do, but the pace slows a little. It's ok to take a moment and just breathe.

when you're as tired as we are now, there is a tendency to feel pretty low and super critical. I was in that place today, and was really comforted by some kind words and support. Thank you.

It got to about 9.30pm and it was all too much..... way too sleepy, my head was filling up with a zillion things I could have done better, so it felt pretty good to sneak off to bed and escape it all

showday, soundcheck and we did this

autopilot kicked in this morning.... it's show day.... let's go

I think one of the most exciting moments for me is before doors open, when everything is ready and the production team are sound checking... Seasick Steve was on site for an hour or so, making sure he was happy with everything. Suddenly you remember why you work so hard, it all starts becoming a reality. Goose bump moment for sure.

Condor, acupuncture and a lovely phone call

sometimes when you are really struggling to find a solution, the right phone call to the right person can change everything. Today, a lovely man from Condor went out of his way to solve a problem for us. I am beyond grateful.

in the midst of the chaos, I sneak out for an hour and have acupuncture. It is everything it needed to be, calming, relaxing and nurturing

a phone call out of the blue this morning with such kind words and a heartfelt message.... almost left me in tears (good ones)

sunshine, problem solving and momentum

woohooooooo the sun has come out..... the world seems like a happier place, and everyone has a smile on their face

problem solving is a big part of our job..... and the week before show always delivers the biggest challenges.... but we're nailing them, one by one

there is a feeling of momentum now.... it's happening whether we like it or not, we will be ready, and we will put on an amazing festival :)

its when you get to Wednesday, and you overhear someone talking about plans for the next week, that you realise you're almost there

first site dinner tonight, one of many to come, but always feels good to enjoy a meal together

we made it into the Sunday Times today :) Pretty happy with that !

I like to think of myself as a pretty independent woman.... but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate being looked after. Tonight I was supposed to go out for drinks, but almost fell asleep at the dinner table, so found myself scooped up by my lovely husband and tucked into bed

sometimes the only solution is to go to sleep :)

I had a wobbly start today, and was so grateful that Jeff was in the same place as me. His support and wise words gave me the strength to get up and get cracking with my day today

the best thing you can possibly do when you're not happy with something is change the circumstances and get pro-active.... thats what we did today, and we all pulled together and really turned things around

my husband is home and he is looking after me...... its been a long time since we've been back together properly and not just spending short stints of time together, and I am so grateful for the fact that we're in the same place forever now

a cool bedroom, quiet and being together

moved back home today ... sounds crazy but as awesome as the B&B was, it felt pretty nice to settle back in at home with a nice cool bedroom, summer breeze and...

QUIET !!! Oh my goodness..... I forgot how quiet this house can be.... bliss

after a crazy first few days back surrounded by family and with a zillion things to do, today was the first day where we could really just appreciate being together and hang out

a day off, a new paddle and cooking up a feast

a very rare day off 2 weeks before the festival.... felt like such a treat

went for a SUP from Belcroute around to St Aubins Fort..... a new discovery and a very zen paddle on a beautiful afternoon

last night with the whole family so I cruised around early and cooked up a feast for everyone

an early start to clean up and move a bunch of stuff from the fort back to the house..... finished by 10.30 and snuck back to the B&B for a much needed catch up sleep

ha ha there is SO much food leftover from the wedding..... we graze contentedly

everyone has been working like busy little bees today, and we're all knackered, but hey we got the job done

head massage, wedding and family

an early hair appointment before the wedding ended up being a treat in itself as the girl washing my hair gave me the most amazing head massage

wow, what a wedding, blue skies, happy faces everywhere and a beautiful ceremony.... congrats Nat & Dave ....love you both heaps xxx

so good to spend time with all the family, it's rare that we're all in the same place and so we all cherish the time we have together

Jeffrey home, a haven and zzzzzzzzz

yipeee Jeffo arrived home tonight.... he was delayed, tired and totally over it, but hey, we're back together and that is AMAZING

made the decision this morning that sleeping in a tent and sharing a bathroom with 7 other people for the next few days might not be a whole lot of fun, so made a quick call to a friend who has a beautiful little B&B in St Aubins.... wooopa we're relocating for the weekend

after way too long I finally get to jump into bed and fall asleep with my lovely husband by my side..... that makes me very happy indeed

yahooooooo Jeff is on his way back home....... feels good to know he is physically moving closer every hour.... missed him like crazy and super excited to be back together tomorrow

this week has been a week of super early starts.... in the office at 6am some days, but I've actually loved it..... being an early bird definitely has its benefits. A couple of hours of quiet time to really get stuck into work and get head start on the day.

old friend, family and fitting it all in

spent some time this afternoon with an old friend..... we haven't hung out in ages, and he was feeling pretty down, but was good to be there for him and bring a smile back to his face

all the family have started arriving for my sisters wedding.... it's going to be chaos over the next few days, but good, fun, crazy french family kind of chaos

lots to do, lots of commitments and not an awful lot of time..... felt pretty happy today with my juggling skills

good words, a long lost friend and a great view

today I said something that really needed to say to someone who has been acting pretty out of line..... felt good to have dealt with it and actually got a pretty good response.... sometimes its tough being tough but you just gotta do it

wow, I have an amazing friend Jade who I love to pieces..... she lives in the depths of the Northlands NZ and so has been impossible to get hold of.... finally today, I managed to get her mobile number and we are back in contact again ....happy happy happy

walking up the stairs this morning to the office and realised how cool our view is now.....

what a good start to the week.... back to back meetings that all yielded great results.... happy bunny

made the most of being in town at lunchtime and treated myself to a sushi lunch

driving home from work I took a moment to appreciate the beautiful green of the trees on the side of the road..... there is a stretch where it feels like you're almost covered over with trees...gorgeous

hammock time, work done and mexican for dinner

ahhhhh some time spent in the hammock today was much appreciated

a lot of work done today, but in that nice, relaxed, weekendy kind of way

Ali, Simon and Fabe came round for a yummy mexican on the deck...... mmmmm pulled pork burritos.....with homemade salsa and guacamole......yum yum yum

chores done, paddle and pizza

after a super early solo paddle, I missioned into town to get all my chores done..... lots of running around but all done by lunchtime so all good :)

Alex, Paul and I went for a paddle around St Brelade's this evening, which was easy and lovely one way (with the wind behind us) and actually pretty tough and pretty funny on the way back...

which meant we felt like we totally deserved a pizza feast ..... we got take out from Pizza Express and cruised back to mine to eat, drink and relax

early start, moving upwards and wind down

another really early start was made better when I paused on the deck before jumping in my car to go to work..... what a gorgeous morning

we moved upstairs today..... not too far to go but so much nicer and lighter

Friday afternoons are starting to take on a similar pattern...... everyone finishes at lunchtime, so after a couple of hours of quiet time at work, I head home, knowing that there is work to do over the weekend, but allowing myself an afternoon of switching off, replenishing and nuturing

flat day fun, warm car and a realisation

work is just getting busier and busier now so we took a couple of hours out of our day to go for a SUP with the team..... just getting out of the office and into the sea and sunshine....

I love hopping into a car that is all warm and cosy from the sun streaming in..... the weather changed this evening and my car was a welcome surprise

this week has taught me a lot.... but most importantly, it has taught me about living life to the fullest, enjoying very single moment and surrounding yourself with the people you love
