thunder, sleeping in and better together

the universe sent us a sign last night... but not a little, sneaky one, but a crazy crazy thunderstorm...which woke us both up and made us realise what is important in life

what a full on day..... I was about 5 hours into my drive, so almost home, when a big truck reversed into the front of my car.... needless to say it was a pretty sucky moment, but 3 truck drivers appeared from nowhere and seriously saved the day..... humans are inherently good.... its a fact, those guys took care of me and made sure I was safe ... I felt so lucky

home, at last.....long day and smashed up car, but home none the less.... just breathing in the smell of the pine forest felt amazing

hugging the person you love the most in the world is the most comforting thing to do, just holding on tight and relishing being in each others company again

job done, ginger & lime scrub and happy dinner

phew, what a crazy week..... but pretty stoked that I got to Friday and had somehow managed to tick everything off my list and be ready to go...

this afternoon I treated myself to a ginger and lime scrub...... its the best spa treatment ever..... after a gorgeous salt scrub infused with ginger and lime, they drizzle warm frangipani oil over your skin, massage it in, then give you a head massage.... oh my goodness

with my bags packed, my car ready and some new threads on, I pretty much hopped, skipped and jumped my way to dinner tonight...happy bunny

packing, the glow from the morning sun and cooking by skype

wowzers, packing again, but this time for a tropical trip !!!

I walked outside this morning and was kinda blown away by the glow from the sun, it was warm and it felt like it was saying ' hey ! I'm back..... remember me ?'

its been over 3 weeks since Jeff and I saw each other last, we're totally over it and just counting down the hours till we're back together again. Tonight we cooked by skype, it was funny, and silly but nice :)

sometimes it is as simple as making the decision to change the channel, and switch your thoughts to a more positive perspective

I didn't get time to do my yoga practice this morning, so fitted it in after work. It's good to mix it up and do things differently, keeps things from becoming too routine. Somehow I'm a lot more bendy in the afternoons and I would never have known if I hadn't missed out this morning !

a meeting about strategy had me walking out with my head held high, feeling pretty good about where we are and where we're heading

ha ha today I think I did a pretty good impression of a Tasmanian devil..... whirlwind-ing through my day, getting a tonne of work done and getting to the end of the day not knowing exactly how I got there

Jeff asked if we could stay on skype after our call and just leave our cameras on and read our books.... so we did, and it was lovely. Sounds goofy I know, but it felt like we were in the same place, and I think we both really needed that.

yoga,sleep,work,eat.... thats what my days have been like..... kind of jam packed, but still balanced

always feels so good to have actually remembered to bring a packed lunch to work..mmm leftover chilli and rice

midday nap, ray of sun and chilli

you gotta love weekends, where there's no set time to do anything or go anywhere and you can take a nap in the middle of the day just because you want to

it hasn't been very warm today, but if you found yourself in a ray of sunshine, it felt delicious

tonight I made a super delicious chilli, with my magic ingredient, a square of dark chocolate.... wowzers, it was so good

energy, interesting phone call and awesome boys night

maybe it was yesterdays' great weather, but I had a tonne of energy today... all positive too.....

made a call today that I expected to have a good outcome, but not as good as it turned out to be.... amazing result in just one phone call !!! wooooopa

we had a boys night tonight.... let me explain.... I grew up surfing and hanging out at the beach, so naturally, most of my close friends were guys.... so I kinda became the honorary boy...and tonight we enjoyed a boys night...no girlfriends, no talk of clothes, haircuts, make up, or any other girly stuff.... just us, talking about the surf, remembering the good times and laughing A LOT

sunshine, fresh air and a smiling man

wow...spring has sprung...or at least it felt like that today.... the sun was blazing and their was such an amazing energy around us..... everyone was smiling, and finding some way to be outside and enjoying it..... making the most of the fresh air and blue skies

went to the beach after work and just sat back and enjoyed the buzzy, happy vibe.... breathed in the freshness and the feeling like we might have just made it through the winter !!

its nice to be nice..... not everyone remembers that..... I let a guy out of a junction today in his big van, and he was so surprised and stoked that he gave a beautiful smile

a feeling of us, new yoga pants and a magazine fix

spent some time today remembering a lot of great Jeff & Linz moments, and realised how far we've come and how 'on track' we are right now..... it gave me a feeling of 'us', as a team, and made me smile

hee hee Hawaii is just around the corner... bought some new yoga pants today

ok, its a guilty pleasure.... every now and then, I buy a stack of magazines (well, 2 or 3) and head home to kick back, relax and flick through them....

why I'm here, signal from the universe and memory bank

I've been missing Jeff heaps, but today we had a really good conversation about why I'm here and he's there.... it all makes a lot of sense, and I know we'll be back together soon, having kicked some major goals

funny how the universe seems to send signals to me..... today, having only just had the courage to talk about a potential project with my folks, something happened which could make the whole idea more real and more achievable....

phew.... delved into my memory today and remembered something said to me a long time ago that happens to be incredibly useful and relevant today

raspberries, sharing the love and a compliment

I always seem to forget how delicious raspberries are.... mmmmmmmm they are soooo good

I have amazing friends.... truly amazing... Alex and Paul invited me round to their valentines dinner as they knew Jeffo was in France. We had a super fun night and I felt very loved :)

I was reminded today how nice a simple compliment can be..... sometimes the person giving it to you probably didn't even realise the impact of their kind words.

early yoga class, cooking extravaganza and

mmm you always feel like you've won some sort of prize when you manage to get up in time for the early Sunday morning yoga class

it poured with rain today, and so, after I had finished all my work, it felt right to get stuck into a cooking extravaganza.... ha ha ha .... I made orange & chocolate chip muffins, poulet basquaise and rillettes au saumon

busy week ahead, so it felt really nice to be prepped and ready to go...... ahead of the game with work, yummy lunch in the fridge, and feeling rested and happy

exciting news, lots done, and a burst of fresh air

I got an email today that had me jumping around with excitement.....

when we're apart, Jeff and I tend to do some work on the weekends. Today I had a huge list, and really got stuck in and tackled some stuff that had been sitting on my to do list for way too long !

Alex called by mid afternoon and took me out for a stomp in the sunshine and fresh air. Felt so good to be moving and breathing fresh air after sitting inside working all day :)

fiesty meeting, nachos and bed

wow, I had spent a week prepping for an important meeting today but never realised it would be so fiesty. Felt pretty good when I walked out of there, with my head held high. I think some people think they can throw provocative statements out there and not expect a response..... not with me sunshine.... I fought my corner today, and it felt great.

nachos just seem to be the perfect thing to make when its been a long tough day and you want some immediate satisfaction

don't think I realised until tonight that this week has been such a crazy one..... I swear I was tucked up in bed by 8.30pm.... gotta love that

easier than expected, spanish guitar and interesting dinner conversation

your mind can create obstacles that stand in your way.... so, sometimes its important to shake off your worries and have a go at something. I did that today, and as it turns out it was a lot easier than expected.

We went out for tapas tonight and there were 2 guys playing spanish guitar.... it was beautiful.

dinner conversation was pretty interesting tonight, threw some stuff out there and was surprised by the response I got back (in a good way )

yoga start, a charged moment, and true kindness

wow, life feels better when you have yoga in it. Simple.

my coaching call led to a pretty emotionally charged conversation, which was somehow hidden in me but definitely needed to come out. Felt good to share it.

sometimes people blow you away with their kindness. Today was one of those days..... made me realise that there are always people looking out for you.

sleeeeeeeeeep, perfect start and de-stress

oh my goodness..... I've been kinda struggling to get a good nights sleep recently so when I woke up this morning after a 9 hour zzzzz-fest I was feeling pretty stoked !

a good friend of ours has been away for a few months travelling.... he has been working with local families in Bali to set up some sponsorship programs to help them out.... a super amazing guy with a huge heart, and this morning he sent us a video of the family that we have sponsored saying hello.... what a way to start your day, and add a dose of perspective

a hectic work day that left me frazzled ended up with some serious fub out time and some softly spoken words to send me to sleep

warm orange glow from the sun, shopping and beautiful words from friends

this morning, I saw the orange glow from the sun shining on a wall..... made me think that spring is just around the corner

when you bounce from place to place like we do, sometimes it feels so good to do those mundane everyday tasks, it gives you a sense of routine..... so today, I thoroughly enjoyed doing my weekly grocery shop :)

I'm very lucky to be surrounded by beautiful friends... and today, some kind words were sent my way from someone who inspires me to be the most authentic me

porridge, sunday sort out and transformation

I haven't eaten porridge in forever ! Mmmmmmm its so good... with lots of yummy golden syrup

I like a good Sunday sort out.....a re -jiggle, a de-clutter .....makes me feel ready for my week ahead

This afternoon I saw a transformation before my very own eyes.....someone I love was able to switch channels and change their perspective from a pretty gloomy place to a sparkly, energised one .... it was inspirational

Jeff left early this morning to get the boat to St Malo and drive back to Hossegor...... I love so much about my job, except when I have to say goodbye to my husband.... he's pretty amazing and I'm so blessed to have him

hee hee hee.....I was struck with a sudden idea this morning....why don't I just get all my hair cut off ?? so before I could change my mind, I booked an appointment, jumped in the car and ta da..... a new me !!!

I wake up to find a really cute note that Jeff has left me, instructing me to relax, sleep and get better soon...... and an equally cute note in the kitchen telling everyone else to stay quiet, and make sure I don't get up and start working

a day falling in and out of sleep and getting some serious chapters read in my book, is a day that makes me feel rested and loved, and looked after

tonight's meal is funny..... not the food itself, just the conversation

I was so starving I had to sneak out to M&S and buy a super fresh rice salad with prawns and a coconut lime dressing

I love it when someone just calls in to say hello.... our office is kind of a detour for anyone, so that makes visitors extra special

Chinese New Years..... reminds me of when we got engaged.... we told my parents at a Chinese restaurant this time 6 years ago...... we grab a chinese take out tonight to celebrate

ahhh happy days, back to work and big results

it is always nice to know you're on the right track..... and in a funny way, the trip to New York reminded us of that...... we like oceans and beaches, forests and lakes, mountains and blue skies....and our lifestyle allows us a whole heap of that good stuff

back to work, but with a spring in my step

it feels pretty crazy to realise that now, unlike a year ago, there are more than 2 people working on these festivals...which means, when we come back from a few days off, there are some fantastic results waiting for us :)

4 seats, rice and beans and beautiful clouds

woooopa ...is there anything better than snagging 4 seats to yourself on a longhaul flight ???? I don't think so :)

we had a few hours to kill at Gatwick, so we found ourselves in a little restaurant eating the yummiest rice and beans that I have eaten in a really long time..... I think they tasted even yummier because we were so surprised they were good

finally, we flew back to Jersey, and rose above the grey skyline of London to the pale pinky blue clouds that made me feel at home, and happy to be island bound again

solo in soho, heli ride and beautiful dinner with the man I love

this morning whilst Jeff had a lie in, I cruised around Soho, checked out a cute book store and picked up a new yoga mat......hardly a city slicker but hey, it was fun

we went on a heli ride this afternoon....oh my goodness.... how much freaking fun ??!!!

after the helicopter ride, and before out flight back to London, we got a cab to the Meatpacking District and found an awesome asian restaurant called the Spice Market and had a very zen and very delicious dinner
